What do you receive?
A FAQ, where we would be happy just want to tell. Very little about why we need a satellite dish. The satellite TV channels to which the living room doorstralen, are at a distance of 36,000 kilometers of a small earth removed. They run along with the earth at the equator. You understand, that's a huge distance. The satellites transmit signals that this is muted before it reaches the earth. This is due to natural phenomena such as rain, snow or severe thunderstorms. The signal is too weak to receive a conventional blade antenna. You have a dish, which captures the beam, and its specific form the hollow jet bundles and continues to the LNB, but say the actual antenna.
What size do I need?
Triax dishes in different sizes, from 64 cm. to more than 1 meter in diameter. What size is exactly suitable for your situation? You still need to know more things. First, what exactly do you want to receive on your dish. Let's just assume that you mainly want to use for satellite reception of the Astra satellites. They send a high-powered off, the size of your dish may be limited. You would normally be covered by a dish size of 54 cm. Astra for receiving signals. Yet we must give a warning. The size of this dish is good enough to be released under normal weather conditions to obtain sufficient signal.
If there is now heavy rain or thunderstorms, then it's likely that the signal is too weak, and sometimes lose your image or blocking, or at worst completely disappears. You have to a 54 cm dish. receiving a guarantee of 98%. That means that under normal weather picture you have, but in bad weather (the remaining 2%) you run the chance of blocking, or even no image. Now 98% seems very reasonable. But you realize, that is nevertheless a quarter of an hour per day on average. This is prevented by a slightly larger dish to take. If you go for a 78 cm specimen, then the chances of failure are already much smaller. Moreover, we need you honestly say that a guarantee receipt of 100% is not to give. Anyone with a dish has ever experienced bad weather and its blocking image. However, a good size dish and a perfect setting of the course, reduce the risk of significant disruptions!
I would like to receive more!
Are you excited on satellite, to receive more channels than the Astra signals. Even then dish in a larger size image. We can offer you a 88 cm. advise dish, which you can LNB 2, s place (of monoblock). This dish size is large enough to blow a two separate signals from satellites to capture. Namely the Astra 1 and Astra 2 with the Free To Air channels such as BBC BBC 1,2,3 and 4. 2) A combination of the Astra 1 Astra 2 and Hotbird satellites is also possible. On a fixed dish is also 2 or 6 satellites, but the Hotbird satellites send an equally large amount of TV and radio as the Astra. You understand with a greater than 10 cm dish, double the amount to receive channels. Do not look strange, if you show that with ease in 1000 can receive TV channels!
Here you have a number of examples where I can be 3 or 6 satellites on a fixed dish:
BISAT - VISIOSAT
Triax
Archsat
TechniSat Multytenne
WaveField
It may be even bigger!
For the real satellite enthusiasts, there are even more dishes. Who does not want to restrict reception of the major consumers such as Astra and Hotbird satellites should soon think about a dish size of 1 meter or more. In a rotating system are very similar formats. By motorizerd instalation zis a dish that can run to several satellites can be received. Please note that it is receiving very weak satellites that do not have the popular TV channels are broadcast.
If you, like 95% of the other satellite viewers, mainly for the signals from Astra, then we strongly recommend a 64 or 78 cm dish. And if you personally dish but an ugly thing, then you can simply copy a transparant choose!! Satellite Dish - list
Below is a list to find the minimum size satellite dish in the KU band. Depending on the exact place in the Benelux, weather, quality of dish, LNB and cable, this list as "all-round" can be considered.
