New Software download for an Aston crypt 1.7

In this guide it is described how you can load the new software into an Aston 1.7 Dual-cam module by using a Common interface satellite receiver.

1. Let your satellite receiver search on Astra 1 (19.2 East) on the frequency 12604, Horizontal and with Symbol rate 22000. The FEC is 5/6.

2. After channel search the channel must be shown STB Comaq in the radio list. Select or switch to this channel.

3. Go in the menu of the receiver to the Common interface menu. The Aston crypt module must be installed without smartcard in the satellite receiver.

4. After maximum 2 minutes the software becomes available. The download process can be shown on the TV screen (CI menu). Complete download approximately will take 5 minutes.

5. Switch your receiver not off during this procedure!

6. When software-update is received, then the software will be written into the CI module and this takes several seconds to complete. The module restarted itself afterwards.

7. Eventually you will see the new version: Aston module 2.1800. Get in touch of problems or questions with our service department.
